Remember our conversation in class about choosing a theme (something personal you want to express in your work) for your photographs. Once you have decided on a theme, make your choices about who you will photograph, where you will shoot the images, whether the images will be color or b&w, and what kind of lighting you will use. All these decisions should be specifically based on the theme you have chosen. Keep them consistent in each portrait so that the series feels like one body of work together. Below are the photographers we looked at in class so you can examine again how each artist chose to express his/her particular theme and what elements where kept consistent in all images.
